During this fully experiential workshop, you’ll discover yoga practices to honor your feminine wisdom, and learn how to direct energy into your womb to help clear physical and energetic blocks to healing. When life-force moves freely throughout the body and into the womb space, the benefits can include greater vitality, deeper awareness of menstrual cycle, fuller connection to feminine wisdom, including enhanced sexuality, and a flowing river of energy that moves freely between the heart and the womb. Deeper Yin: An Extended Yin & Meditation Series for Restoring Balance

Pre-Registration by Oct. 4 required to attend

Deepen your yin practice and cultivate a meditative mind to restore balance from head to toe from the inside out. During this series, you’ll learn more about the philosophy of yin and delve into the depth of your yoga practice through experiencing a deeper range of yin yoga. You’ll also discover new tools and practices for growing in your understanding of yin to restore and heal.

Each workshop will build upon each other to form a well-rounded and holistic yin practice.

Oct. 14 – Nourishing the Body’s Essence: During the first workshop of this extended yin series we will work with the kidney and urinary bladder meridians, activating the body’s elimination system and stimulating the essence energy in the body to cultivate prana (chi, life-force energy) to support the body’s optimal functioning.

 Oct. 28 – Freeing the Hips (Li/GB): The second part of the series will focus on opening up the liver and gallbladder meridians while you access the deeper tissues of the hips, inner thighs and sideline edges of the body. You’ll focus clearing stagnation in the tissues and on releasing tension and stress in the physical body while moving towards fuller freedom in the emotional layer of the body.

Nov. 4 – Supporting Healthy Hormones & Digestion (St/Sp): The spleen is known as the source of life for the other organs in the body and when the spleen is balanced, there is a sense of feeling earthy, sensual, and connected to the full capacity of the body. During third workshop in this series, you’ll nourish the mind-body-spirit with a stomach and spleen sequence to improve digestion, support assimilation, and balance the hormones.

 Nov. 18 – Full Body Restore (whole body): In this final workshop, you’ll be led through a whole body deeper yin practice that will integrate and bring together elements learned throughout the series, giving you the opportunity to experience the wholeness that yin can bring to your yoga practice. Upon completing the fourth class of this series, you’ll have a more holistic understanding of yin yoga and how to bring yin into your daily life.

Unwind your mind during the Fall by letting go of stress and tension in the body during this deeply renewing and rejuvenating  yin yoga mini-retreat. Together the systematic practices of yin yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, and reflection through journaling will slowly bring your mind into a state of stillness. During this fully experiential workshop you’ll cultivate mind-body awareness, mindfulness, progressively withdraw from the external world as you rewire the brain to support letting go habits that no longer serve, leading to physical and energetic release. Detoxifying essential oils will be diffused and applied throughout the workshop to support tension release and aid in deeper letting go. All levels of experience are welcome.

Join yin yoga teacher, spirtual guide and transpersonal psychologist, Kendra Diaz-Ford for a special pre-holiday series of mid-week yin yoga classes, happening every Wednesday in October and the first 3 Wednesdays in November.

Just in time to prepare your mind, body, and soul for the holidays, these yin yoga classes will be your opportunity for adding that extra dose of peaceful bliss to your weekly schedule.

Classes will be designed to melt away stress, bring your body back to balance, and support healthy habits throughout the holidays.

Unwind the Mind: Yin & Yoga Nidra for Deep Relaxation

Unwind your mind by relaxing your body in this deeply renewing and nourishing two-hour yin yoga and yoga nidra workshop. Together the systematic practices of yin yoga and yoga nidra will slowly bring your mind into stillness by working with the breath, softening the body and focusing the mind. Yin yoga is an integrative, meditative practice that targets the connective tissues of the body, releases deep energetic patterns, physical blocks and promotes overall balance. Yoga nidra (yogic sleep) is a led meditation done while in shavasana and focuses on relaxing the whole person while training the mind in deeper states of awareness.

During this fully experiential workshop you’ll cultivate mindfulness, progressively withdraw from the external world to reduce tension and stress, enhance your sense of creativity and experience a state of deep relaxation.  No previous understanding of yin yoga or yoga nidra is required to participate. All levels of experience are welcome.
